The resident sent a note to the team afterward:
“Thank you for sharing your time and energy with us and the community. You were a helping hand when we needed it. Words cannot express how grateful I am for your willingness to volunteer. May God bless you all. I am overwhelmed with gratitude.”
When floodwaters swept debris into a disabled resident’s yard in Hamilton, RET team members from the Burlington, Mt. Vernon, and Sedro-Woolley clinics didn’t hesitate. Coordinated with the support of United Way, the volunteer effort quickly turned an overwhelming situation into a manageable one through teamwork, compassion, and a shared commitment to serving their community — even in frigid weather conditions.
Confluent Health and RET are incredibly proud of these team members for stepping up outside of clinic hours to make a meaningful difference in their community. This effort is a reflection of our belief that healthcare extends beyond the walls of our clinics — it’s about showing up for our neighbors when they need us most. We’re proud to serve the Skagit County community, in rehabilitation and in life.
